Branch Line to Killin

A  memory I have of my youth hostelling days around 1960 was visiting Killin. I remember once catching the trains from Killin Station (now long gone) to Killin Junction. From there we caught the train back to Glasgow. The memory I have is of sitting on the platform during a hot summers day awaiting the single carriage train. When I go to Scotland over the years I still try and get to see the Falls of Dochart. The railway bridge is till there. A couple of years back I sat on the bench overlooking the Falls reading a paper in sunshine; listening to the rush of water; thinking how great life was.
Two of the pictures come from a super book by Julian Holland called exploring Britain's lost railways from Collins.
