BAE Systems puts £200m Scotstoun warship factory plans to tender

Plans to create a new £200m state-of-the-art warship manufacturing facility on the Clyde have gone out to tender.

BAE Systems announced on Friday that the shipbuilders had put out the contracts this week.
A spokeswoman said the tenders had gone out to develop the new "frigate factory" at their Scotstoun yard. She added: "Everything has gone out according to plan today and we are are still progressing with the two-site strategy.”
