Re: GOVAN NEWS TODAY . . .

Great shame Jimmy that people do these sort of things.  At one time when I was a member of the 164th BB we went to the Broomloan Road school hall every Wednesday evening. We practised Gymnastics and Football and enjoyed every minute of it.
I imagine Sir Alex will be sad following on from the destruction At Benburb's Tinto Park.

Re: GOVAN NEWS TODAY . . .

The lessons my father taught me.

THE south side of Glasgow closest to the Clyde was dominated in the 1930s, as it is today, by the Govan Road, which winds through the city's ancient centre around the perimeter dominated by two monumental structures:

the Govan cranes in the west and Ibrox Stadium in the east. In between these giant sentries can be found the Pearce Institute, the shipbuilding monument, the Old Govan Parish Church with its ancient stones, The Louden Tavern and the site of St Gerard's Secondary Roman Catholic School - the alma mater of Billy Connolly and my dad, Jimmy Reid.

Team uniform slammed as being 'truly horrific'

THE uniform to be worn by Scotland's Commonwealth Games athletes in the Opening Ceremony has provoked ridicule after being unveiled in Stirling.

Textile designer and artist Jilli Blackwood, above, joins Team Scotland athletes, from left, Scott White, Lee Jones and Sean Lamont, and Charline Joiner, below, as they show off the uniform to be worn by the team for the opening ceremony this month.

What do you think??

My personal opinion it is 'it's truly horrific' and it makes them look like a load of Nancy boys. UGH!
