Subway disruption goes on after just 1 station reopens
This morning, the Subway was operating between Buchanan Street and Govan on the inner circle and between Govan and St George's Cross on the outer circle. Free shuttle buses are also running between Buchanan Street and St George's Cross, Buchanan Street.

Fair Queen set to be crowned
There will be free traditional fairground rides at Govan Cross from 3pm for local children, ahead of the crowning ceremony at 7pm at the Victory Christian Centre. She will lead the Fair Procession from Fairlie Street at 7:45pm on a route to Arklet Road.

The Underground is prone to the bout of disruptuion. A few years ago the stretch between Merkland Street and Govan Cross became flooded when I was in Govan and the service was suspended for a while.
The Govan fair brings back many memories of course; big crowds and many good floats. Bilsland Bread (I think) throwing bread to the crowd; the Southern General with the red painted hacksaws. Brought much happiness to many and it is good that the tradition has been kept on.
Not too sure whether or not it would have passed your home; probably went along Langlands Road. We used to watch it near the Vogue Cinema; now of course long gone. This was adjacent to the new Victory Centre which I think is a religious place.
