Absolutely fantastic Jimmy, I loved looking at all the detail. My old house is hiding there,  just behind Harland and Wolffs. Have you done any others of Govan? I know you did the tram car which was great too.

Hello Ellen, Nice to hear from you again. Glad you liked the picture. It was when I looked at the two photographs of  just behind Harland and Wolffs' that I noticed they were more or less a panorama of the scenery. So in my minds eye I just stitched them together and came up with the picture you see. I am real glad you liked it. Thank you for your comments. I'm in the process of doing some others so I might post them on here if there was any interest?

Just trying to picture where your house is in relation to the picture?  There was Wanlock Street and McKechnie Street to the right, the Church behind Harland and Wolffs' and Water Row to the left. Once again thank you for your comments. Have a wonderful weekend.

Haste ye back.

Re: A wee picture I did today

Jimmy. my old house was behind the Harland and Wolff's building in the picture, between Water Row and the church. It is the street where the Pearce Institute stands. Part of the Harland and Wolff's building was at the bottom of our street.  Pearce Lane ran off it and lead down to Water Row. There was only one close in the street.
Would love to see more of your pictures.

Hi Ellen, Thanks for the information. I have posted some pictures of
your old street. Sorry but the Tenements are gone today!
This is the start of Pearce Street.

Sorry there was no building left with your close on it Ellen but that
seems to be the way of things in Govan toady!

I'll post any other pictures I do of Govan. I am working on a couple
right now so it shouldn't be too long I hope!
Have a wonderful weekend.
